About the Role

We're looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our growing team. You'll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting smooth financial operations across the company.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a digital environment, enjoys working independently, and values precision, consistency, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks Online.
  • Enter accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Perform bank and account reconciliations regularly to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Support payroll processing and employee reimbursements.
  • Collaborate with management and other departments to gather and verify financial data.
  • Assist with process improvements, documentation, and system integrations within our tech stack.

Our Tech Stack

You'll primarily use QuickBooks Online, along with tools such as:

  • Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive)
  • HubDoc / Dext for expense management
  • Plooto for payments and approvals
  • QBO for payroll (depending on client setup)
  • Slack and Xenett (or Asana) for communication and workflow management

Experience with similar tools is a strong asset.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Must reside in Canada and be legally eligible to work here.
  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
  • Strong knowledge of QuickBooks Online and general accounting principles.
  • Proficiency with cloud-based bookkeeping and document management tools.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate in a remote team environment.
