Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting store operations, managing staff, and ensuring excellent customer service. This position offers an opportunity to develop leadership skills and contribute to the overall success of the store. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily activities, assisting with sales strategies, and maintaining a positive shopping environment.

Duties

  • Support store management in daily operations, including merchandising, inventory control, and visual presentation
  • Assist with recruiting, training, and supervising staff to ensure high performance and excellent customer service
  • Manage cash handling, cashiering, and POS transactions accurately
  • Oversee pricing strategies and sales promotions to maximize revenue
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
  • Assist with payroll processing, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks
  • Contribute to marketing efforts and sales management initiatives
  • Support store management in budgeting, purchasing, and inventory management
  • Lead by example in demonstrating strong communication skills, professionalism, and leadership qualities
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures at all times

Requirements

  • Proven experience in retail sales, store management, or supervisory roles with strong leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, and basic math skills
  • Strong communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
  • Experience in recruiting, training & development, and team management
  • Knowledge of merchandising, pricing strategies, and marketing principles
  • Ability to handle customer service situations with professionalism and tact
  • Administrative experience including bookkeeping and payroll processing preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and prioritize responsibilities
  • Leadership qualities with a focus on team development and motivating staff
  • Familiarity with budgeting, purchasing, and sales management processes
