We specialize in custom-engineered equipment for demanding industrial applications and are seeking a dynamic Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team.

The Role

We are looking for a versatile and hands-on Mechanical Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. This is a hybrid role that combines technical design with project management. You will be responsible for the complete project lifecycle, from initial concept and 3D designto engineering calculationsand final project execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

· Design & Drafting: Develop detailed 3D models and 2D fabrication drawings for custom FRP equipment (e.g., tanks, piping, ducting, scrubbers) using SolidWorks.

· Engineering Analysis: Perform engineering calculations for design validation, including stress analysis, structural support, and sizing calculations, ensuring compliance with relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., ASME RTP-1, ASTM).

· Project Management: Manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously from "cradle-to-grave." This includes developing project scopes, creating schedules, and managing budgets.

· Coordination: Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients, vendors, and internal teams. You will coordinate with the production floor to ensure designs are optimized for manufacturing (DFM).

· Multitasking: Handle competing priorities, manage technical queries, and adapt to shifting project demands in a dynamic setting.

· Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), technical specifications, and quality control packages.

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

· Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.

· Based in Brockville, ON, or willing to relocate for the position.

· Proven proficiency in 3D design using SolidWorks is essential.

· Strong foundation in mechanical design principles, material mechanics, and stress analysis.

· Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage several projects at once.

· Excellent project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

· Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred (Assets):

· P.Eng. designation or eligibility (E.I.T.).

· Experience in the FRP, composites, or plastics fabrication industry.

· Familiarity with corrosion-resistant materials and their applications.

· Knowledge of industry standards such as ASME RTP-1, ASTM D3299, or related standards.

· Experience with AutoCAD for 2D layouts.

· Hands-on experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.

Pay: $61,844.61-$125,790.69 per year
