They're in a high-growth phase and need a hands-on finance leader who can help build structure while keeping pace with the momentum.

Principal Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Own the full accounting cycle - financial reporting, consolidations, month-end close
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and annual planning
  • Improve and standardize processes across AP, AR, and GL
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and tax compliance
  • Liaise with external auditors and advisors
  • Ensure strong internal controls and regulatory compliance
  • Partner directly with the CEO to shape and execute the company's growth strategy
  • Use costing, margin, and pricing analysis to drive better decisions
  • Support new product and customer analysis - help identify what's profitable and scalable
  • Build dashboards and reporting for real-time visibility to leadership
  • Provide insights and challenge the status quo - be a thought partner, not just a scorekeeper
  • Help optimize inventory tracking and valuation processes
  • Work closely with operations and supply chain to align financial strategy with production realities
  • Support margin improvement initiatives tied to sourcing, vendor management, and costing

Qualifications and Pre-Requisites:

  • 7+ years in finance/accounting, ideally in manufacturing or product-based environments
  • CPA preferred, with strong experience in both hands-on accounting and financial leadership
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and building processes in a growing company
  • Able to work independently, ask smart questions, and move fast with incomplete information
  • Strong communicator who can collaborate with cross-functional teams and make data meaningful
  • Proactive, business-minded, and excited to help scale a company that's just getting started
