The General Labourer is responsible for performing a variety of physical tasks to support construction site operations. This includes preparing and cleaning worksites, handling materials, assisting trades, and ensuring all work is performed in compliance with company safety policies and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to designated areas.
  • Prepare work areas by clearing debris, setting up safety barriers, and assisting with site layout.
  • Assist skilled tradespersons and equipment operators by providing materials, tools, and general labour support.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and small equipment as directed, in accordance with training and safety requirements.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the worksite, including waste removal and storage of tools/equipment.
  • Follow all company safety policies, wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), and immediately report unsafe conditions or incidents to the Supervisor.
  • Perform manual labour tasks including digging, lifting, carrying, and other physical activities as required per job site.
  • Comply with instructions from supervisors and complete assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Any other reasonable duties as assigned by the Employer from time to time.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is primarily outdoors and may be subject to various weather conditions.
  • Position requires frequent standing, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and other physical activities.
  • Hours of work may vary depending on project needs and may include overtime or weekend work.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
