Duties:

  • Greet and check-in patients as they arrive at the dental office
  • Schedule and confirm appointments for dental procedures
  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct calls to the appropriate staff member
  • Maintain patient records and update electronic medical records (EMR) system
  • Verify insurance coverage and process insurance claims
  • Collect payments for services rendered and provide receipts to patients
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
  • Ensure the waiting area is clean and organized

Skills:

  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Knowledge of dental terminology and dental office procedures
  • Familiarity with phone systems and ability to handle multiple calls simultaneously
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience working in a dental office setting
  • Familiarity with Dentrix dental practice management software is a plus
  • Excellent administrative and customer service skills
