Venture is seeking a Business Development / Client Account Manager to help fuel our next stage of growth.
We're looking for a driven professional who blends analytical thinking with creativity and thrives on building structure, consistency, and lasting relationships. This role requires both a business-builder and a relationship-builder—someone who can identify opportunities, strengthen partnerships, and drive revenue through meaningful engagement.
Working closely with the President, you'll play a key role in expanding existing accounts and cultivating new partnerships with companies seeking a fresh approach to procurement.
From uncovering opportunities in client interactions to developing outreach strategies that deliver measurable results, this role is about more than sales—it's about creating value and building ecosystems that will help Venture grow across North America and beyond.
The successful candidate will lead account growth, add new clients, and act as an ambassador for the Venture brand while upholding the highest standard of client service.
Role Responsibilities
Business Development (New Growth & Market Expansion)
Focused on driving new revenue streams and expanding Venture's market presence.
- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities to grow Venture's client base and revenue.
- Proactively generate and qualify leads by targeting and engaging corporate decision-makers.
- Develop and manage strategic channel and partner relationships to broaden market reach.
- Drive upselling and cross-selling initiatives to maximize client value, while sourcing referrals for new business.
- Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitor strategies, and diversification opportunities.
- Analyze sales data and pipeline activity to uncover new revenue opportunities.
- Lead, coach, and support Account Executives to achieve individual and team sales targets.
- Ensure a healthy sales funnel and consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue goals

Key Client Account Management (Retention & Relationship Growth)
Focused on nurturing existing relationships, ensuring satisfaction, and strengthening long-term partnerships.
- Act as the primary contact for designated key accounts, delivering exceptional service and responsiveness.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with client stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Conduct regular client check-ins and account reviews to assess satisfaction, anticipate needs, and address concerns.
- Execute a structured client retention and engagement plan to strengthen loyalty and account longevity.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for account growth through tailored solutions and value-add initiatives.
- Investigate and document lost opportunities to capture competitor insights and improve account strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to refine processes that enhance service speed, clarity, and client satisfaction.
- Manage multiple client projects and deliverables, ensuring quality and timeliness.
- Represent Venture at client locations, industry conferences, and networking events to reinforce relationships and credibility.
- Demonstrate high emotional intelligence (EQ), communication, and interpersonal skills in working with senior executives, staff, and clients.
What we are looking for:
• MBA graduate with strong business acumen and entrepreneurial drive
• A proven track record of relationship-building and corporate revenue growth
• years' relevant work experience in business development and client account management.
• Proven sales or entrepreneurial experience (e.g. inside/outside corporate sales )

Confident in presenting to senior management with excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
•
Strong issue management skills, with the ability to quickly and professionally deal with contentious client related issues.

A car and valid driver's license

Desire to work in a small-team environment
•
Proficient in CRM tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant software
and platform.

Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and may require limited evening or weekend work.
Job Type:

Compensation:
The total compensation package for this position ranges between
$120,000 – $150,000
, with clearly defined and achievable performance targets. The base salary starts at
$90,000
, complemented by a strong performance-based bonus structure designed to reward growth and results.
In addition, the package includes:

- Expense account for networking events, travel, and client meetings
