Overview

Waterloo Montessori Kindergarten is a newly established Montessori school committed to providing a rich, engaging, and supportive learning environment for children. We are passionate about fostering independence, curiosity, and a lifelong love for learning through the Montessori approach. Our goal is to create a space where children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. We are currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Montessori teacher to join our growing community.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Montessori Teacher who is enthusiastic about working with children in a dynamic and innovative classroom setting. The ideal candidate will have experience implementing the Montessori method, a deep understanding of child development, and a genuine passion for helping children develop into confident, independent learners.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a Montessori classroom, using the Montessori method to guide children's exploration and learning.
  • Plan, prepare, and implement engaging lessons and activities that foster children's curiosity and growth.
  • Observe and assess the individual needs and progress of each child, tailoring lessons accordingly.
  • Create a warm, welcoming, and respectful classroom environment that encourages independence and collaboration.
  • Maintain effective communication with parents, providing regular updates on children's development and milestones.
  • Work collaboratively with fellow teachers and staff to ensure the success of the school and the overall growth of students.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to school-wide initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Montessori Diploma (AMI or MACTE preferred).
  • 5 years of experience
  • Experience teaching in a Montessori classroom setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the Montessori philosophy and methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create a positive, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.
  • Commitment to continued professional growth.
  • First Aid/CPR certification (or willing to obtain).
