We are NOW hiring
multiple
mechanics for a leading client in the truck & trailer industry

The role is open to any candidates who currently hold a
valid 310S, 310T and/or 310J license
and proven applied experience within the field.

Job Locations:
Availability within two locations - Mississauga, ON or North York, ON.

Job Type:
Full-time, permanent.

Shift Structure:
Day Shift – 7:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Thursday, and 7:00 am to 3:30 Fridays

Compensation:
TBD - based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair trucks, trailers, and transport units; this includes both tractor units and attached trailers.
  • Maintain and repair mechanical systems: engines, transmissions, differentials, drive trains, axles, suspension, steering.
  • Service, adjust, repair or replace brake systems (air brakes, ABS), wheel ends, hubs, drums, pads, lining centers.
  • Structural and body repair: frame, trailer body, floors, walls, doors, roofs; welding and fabrication of steel and aluminum as needed.
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and inspections according to schedule and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain proper documentation: work orders, logs of repairs, parts used, costs, time, inspection reports.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/or equivalent
  • Completion of or active participation in a recognized vocational/technical/ apprenticeship program in heavy duty/truck & trailer mechanics.
  • Trade certification/equivalent experience
  • At least
    1-3 years
    hands-on experience working on trucks, trailers, or heavy equipment: mechanical, electrical, brakes, suspension systems etc.
  • Valid G Driver's License
  • Able to perform physically demanding work: lifting, bending, working under vehicles, etc.
  • Basic safety awareness and ability to follow safety procedures / regulations.
