Overview

We are currently seeking a proactive, experienced, and people-focused Team Leader to join our Maintenance Management Team at our client's facility. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about team development, operational excellence, and outstanding customer service.

As the Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day maintenance operations, managing and mentoring a dedicated team, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and company policies. Your ability to communicate effectively, lead by example, and drive continuous improvement will be critical to your success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the daily operations of the maintenance team to ensure efficiency, safety, and productivity.
  • Train, mentor, and support team members, fostering a high-performance culture aligned with company values.
  • Champion warehouse safety, cleanliness, and best practices in accordance with Ontario Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
  • Monitor and manage employee schedules, attendance, and performance, ensuring effective time and resource allocation.
  • Act as the key liaison between the client, internal teams (offices/sales), and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.
  • Support onboarding and orientation processes for new team members, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Perform administrative duties including email and documentation management, POS system usage, and general operational reporting.
  • Maintain compliance with internal policies, health & safety regulations, and workplace standards.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven leadership experience in warehouse, retail, maintenance, or operations management.
  • Strong team leadership and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to engage, motivate, and develop staff.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Solid time management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with administrative processes; experience with POS systems and bookkeeping practices is an advantage.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and warehouse safety protocols is required.
  • A customer-focused mindset with effective problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience in training, development, and performance management processes.
