Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical work, including industrial settings, and be adept in various electrical systems and tools. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can read blueprints and schematics, ensuring all electrical installations and repairs meet safety standards and regulations.

Duties

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for installation and repair tasks.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues using programmable logic controllers and other diagnostic equipment.
  • Perform low voltage wiring for various applications including security systems, lighting, and telecommunications.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction projects to ensure timely completion of renovations.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing electrical work.
  • Provide maintenance person services as needed to support overall project goals.

Experience

  • Proven experience as an electrician with a focus on industrial environments is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes and safety regulations.
  • Familiarity with construction processes and renovation projects is an asset.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized electrical equipment.
  • Experience working with low voltage systems is a plus.
