We're hiring a TypeScript / JavaScript Developer experienced in the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) — including BigQuery, Firestore, and Cloud Functions (or Cloud Run).

You'll join a team building next-generation cloud systems that automate and scale complex business logic. The right candidate writes clean, efficient code, understands data pipelines, and can manage GCP resources confidently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain backend services in TypeScript /
  • Design and manage Firestore data models and queries
  • Build and optimize BigQuery datasets and reporting workflows
  • Develop serverless apps using Google Cloud Functions or Cloud Run
  • Configure and maintain GCP Projects, IAM roles, and service accounts
  • Implement secure, high-performance REST / gRPC APIs
  • Use Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD pipelines for deployments
  • Collaborate with architects and product teams to deliver production-ready features

Required Skills & Experience

  • 4+ years professional TypeScript / JavaScript development
  • Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform, including:
  • Cloud Functions / Cloud Run
  • BigQuery (schema design, optimization)
  • Firestore / Firebase (data design, scaling, security rules)
  • IAM, service accounts, and Cloud Build

  • Strong knowledge of frameworks (Express, NestJS, etc.)
  • Proficient in Git workflows, testing, and debugging

Preferred Assets

  • Experience with Flutter (mobile or web)
  • Familiarity with Pub/Sub, Redis, or event-driven architectures
  • Experience connecting Firestore to BigQuery
  • Previous startup or SaaS environment experience

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $75,000 USD per year
  • Performance Bonus: Up to $30,000 USD per year for completed projects
  • Share Plan: Early-stage equity participation
  • Career Growth: Progressive salary increases with performance and tenure
  • Work Environment: Hybrid — 2 days per week in the Toronto office

Schedule

  • Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
  • Days: Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)
  • Location: Midtown Toronto office with remote work 3 days per week
