Door Hardware Consultant
We're looking for a Door Hardware Consultant with experience in commercial projects to help us prepare hardware schedules, shop drawings and providing technical expertise on doors and hardware.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Create door and hardware schedules for commercial/ICI projects
- Review specifications, drawings, and recommend compliant hardware
- Develop shop drawings and technical submittals
- Ensure compliance with fire, accessibility, and building codes
- Support with estimating and procurement
- Communicate with GCs, architects, and manufacturers
Experience, Qualifications & Skills
- 3+ years in hardware project management and/or consulting/specification
- Knowledge of Sargent, Best, Adamsrite, LCN, Stanley, etc.
- Experience with fire-rated and electrified hardware (including automatic door operators)
- Familiarity with BC Building Code and accessibility requirements
- DHI certification is an asset (AHC/CDC)
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and similar software
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $49,231.77-$117,409.12 per year
