As a Deli Clerk at Red Barn Market, you will be an integral part of our deli team. Your role will involve preparing and serving a variety of deli items such as our famous sandwiches, interacting with customers, and maintaining a clean deli area. Responsibilities:

  • Stocking and Display: Arrange and replenish deli case displays, ensuring items are well-presented, labelled, and rotated.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and package sandwiches, pizza, salads, hot food, and more.
  • Customer Interaction: Provide friendly assistance to customers, answer questions, and offer recommendations.
  • Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the deli area clean, organized, safe, and well-stocked.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, rotate products, and communicate restocking needs.
  • Compliance: Adhere to food safety guidelines and sanitation standards.

Qualifications:

  • Availability: Must be available mornings starting at 6:00 AM.
  • Experience: Past deli or food service experience preferred.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to follow recipes, and presentation standards.
  • Customer Service Skills: Approachable, courteous, energetic and willing to help customers.
  • Physical Stamina: Able to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team Player: Works well with colleagues and contributes to a positive work atmosphere.
