Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Snow Plow Operator responsible for maintaining clear and safe roadways during winter conditions. The ideal candidate will operate snow removal equipment efficiently, ensuring accessibility and safety for the community or company premises. This role requires mechanical knowledge and experience with various tools and machinery, including excavators and power tools, to perform maintenance and support landscape or construction-related tasks as needed.

Duties

  • Operate snow plow machinery to clear snow from roads, parking lots, and walkways
  • Conduct routine inspections of plow equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance on snow removal equipment using hand tools, power tools, and mechanical knowledge
  • Ensure all work areas are safe, clean, and free of hazards during snow removal operations
  • Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate snow removal efforts efficiently

Experience

  • Prior experience operating snow plow machinery preferred
  • Knowledge of excavation, landscape maintenance, horticulture, or construction is advantageous
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic repairs on equipment using hand tools and power tools
  • Familiarity with safety procedures related to machinery operation and outdoor maintenance tasks
  • Ability to work in cold weather conditions and adhere to safety standards during winter operations

Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal

Contract length: 4 months

Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 30 per week
