Role Overview:
The ERP Administrator will play a central role in managing and maintaining the Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) system. This position is key to ensuring the ERP system's security, smooth operation, and maintenance, which in turn facilitates seamless data flow and communication across all departments and platforms.
By supporting the organization's operational efficiency and improving decision-making processes, the administrator will optimize the ERP system's overall performance. This role demands a strong understanding of technical skills combined with business process knowledge, allowing the Administrator to effectively tailor the system to meet our client's unique needs and those of the user base.
Responsibilities:
Providing technical and administrative support for Microsoft Dynamics 365.Configuring, implementing, and maintaining the ERP software to ensure system reliability, security, and efficiency that meets organizational needs.Resolving and troubleshooting ERP system issues, which encompass functionality glitches, software errors, and user access problems.Offering tier-1 support for various extensions and/or customizations developed for the D365 platform.Preparing comprehensive, detailed documentation to facilitate escalations to tier-2 and tier-3 support teams.Managing system configuration, system security, and all maintenance activities.Architecting, designing, and clearly communicating detailed solutions for complex system integration(s). Customization efforts must align with business processes and user requirements to enhance end-user experiences and improve system performance.Coordinating, reviewing, and performing application updates and routine maintenance as required, to ensure data quality using existing software control mechanisms.Working alongside both internal and external ERP development teams and internal stakeholders to coordinate system-wide updates and install security patches and upgrades to mitigate risk.Migrating data into the ERP system from predefined templates/sources, working closely with the Development team, while adhering to best practice methods and procedures to guarantee the security, usability, and quality of the data.Identifying and swiftly rectifying problems related to processes and workflows.Maintaining data integrity and developing database standards with the Development team, including the enforcement of security and data integrity policies to safeguard sensitive information.Making informed recommendations for system improvement.Conducting regular audits to optimize the ERP system and troubleshoot outages and related issues.Managing and creating system reports and all necessary system documentation.Collaborating with vendors and business stakeholders to effectively manage licensing.Developing and leading training sessions (including developing Standard Operating Procedures or SOP's), preparing training materials, and setting up accounts for new system users based on roles and permissions.
Requirements:
Demonstrated strong technical skills and direct experience with enterprise-level ERP and/or CRM systems, with a strong preference for Microsoft Dynamics D365.Superior analytical skills to accurately document and understand business workflows that ensure smooth ERP system operations and performance. This must include experience working collaboratively on integrations, customizations, and extensions with project management and Development teams.Advanced communication skills to effectively engage with cross-functional teams, including technical staff, to understand aspirations, challenges, priorities, and needs.A solid working knowledge of networks, databases, enterprise-level applications, and patch management.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and ensure projects are accurately scoped, completed on time, and within budget, working with project managers.Understanding and knowledge of IT security best practices to protect sensitive data stored within the ERP system.Excellent customer service skills to promptly and professionally support end-users, answer questions, and resolve technical issuesUndergraduate studies in Computer Science, Information Technology or 10+ years of equivalent, related experience.
Compensation:
The typical salary range for this position is between $70,000 and $90,000 CAD. The final agreed-upon salary may vary depending on factors such as location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
