Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle freight with care. As a Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.

Duties

- Operate commercial vehicles to transport freight to designated locations.

- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.

- Load and unload cargo, utilizing forklift and heavy equipment operation skills when necessary.

- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and cargo details.

- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.

- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.

- Perform basic automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle reliability.

- Assist in training new drivers on safe driving practices and company policies.

Experience

- Proven 1-3 years of experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License).

- Familiarity with freight handling procedures and regulations.

- Experience operating forklifts and heavy equipment is preferred.

- Basic knowledge of automotive repair is a plus.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
