key responsibilities:

As a full-time Structural Designer your key responsibilities are outlined below:

    • Work on a variety of small, medium, and large-scale projects,
  • Performing site reviews of construction,
  • Preparation of design and construction administration documentations at various project phases,
  • Interaction with a client (Owners, Developers, Consultants, and Contractors),
  • Execute and implement design guidelines, standards, and regulations associated with building design and structural engineering,
  • Impart technical guidance on peers,
  • Work within the project team environment from preliminary stages of the design through to completion,
  • Coordinate building design & structural aspects of projects with other discipline designs and drawings,
  • Complete documents in conformance with building code and office standards,
  • Other tasks as assigned,
  • Comply with all company standards, policies and procedures.
skills & qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering (from an accredited Canadian University or equivalent),
  • Understanding of the Ontario Building Code (OBC),
  • Understanding of construction materials/practices,
  • Excellent Written and Oral Communication Skills,
  • Proficient with AutoCAD and Woodworks software,
  • Strong coordination abilities,
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment,
  • Willingness to learn,
  • 4+ years of experience,
  • Registered as a P. Eng. with the PEO,
  • Access to vehicle and a Valid Ontario Class G Drivers Licence.
