Audit Manager – Wealth

Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for an Audit Manager – Wealth who will provide oversight and leadership for complex audits across multiple business groups. The successful candidate will act as a subject matter expert, guiding audit planning, execution, and reporting while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards. This position requires a strong understanding of financial industry practices, wealth management processes, and risk and audit methodologies, along with excellent communication and leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a subject matter expert in planning, risk assessment, and execution of complex audits.
- Lead the design and implementation of audit programs aligned with strategic priorities.
- Plan and execute audit activities requiring coordination across multiple business areas.
- Oversee follow-ups of findings arising from internal audits and regulatory reviews.
- Manage audit communications and reporting with senior management and external auditors.
- Guide and support the team in identifying, testing, and implementing audit initiatives.
- Resolve key issues and escalate non-standard matters to appropriate stakeholders.
- Monitor emerging trends and evolving regulatory requirements to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Recommend enhancements to increase audit effectiveness and operational efficiency.
- Foster an open, collaborative, and high-performance team culture.
Desired Skill Set:
- End-to-end audit experience, including reviewing, reporting, remediation, and delivery.
- Advanced knowledge of business processes, risk management, change and audit methodologies.
- Strong expertise in software tools, Windows applications, and data analysis/reporting techniques.
- Deep understanding of specialist auditing and cross-functional processes.
- Financial industry background with strong knowledge of wealth management.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to lead teams, negotiate, and influence stakeholders.
- Strong judgment and discretion in handling confidential information.
Nice to Have:
- Accounting designation or audit-related certification.
- Experience in wealth management or related financial areas.
- Advanced data analytics and reporting experience.
- Exposure to corporate finance or banking environments.
