Hiring PSWs - Independent Contractors

We hire older adults/retirees that can identify with the needs of aging individuals. Our Personal Support Workers/PSWs assist seniors with their personal care & hygiene needs to improve quality of life and help them maintain their safety and independence.

We are currently looking to hire Personal Support Workers on a casual basis with a flexible schedule throughout the work week. If you are skilled and experienced in providing personal care, passionate about meeting the personal care needs of seniors, and enjoy helping seniors from a place of compassion, we encourage you to apply

Availability to work weekends.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Completed a PSW/Health Care Aide program (or equivalent DSW, RN or RPN), substantiated with a certificate/diploma
  • Experience providing care to clients/patients with Alzheimer's and/or dementia
  • Physically capable of assisting seniors with sitting, standing and walking
  • Flexible availability throughout the work week (able to commit to a regular weekly or bi-weekly schedule for each of your prospective clients)
  • Compassionate, reliable, punctual, strong ability to stick with commitments
  • Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills (fluent in English)
  • Vulnerable Sector Check 1 year recent, or willing to obtain
  • Able to provide at least two professional references
