KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Construct and install frameworks, structures, and fixtures such as windows, doors, flooring, cabinets and shelves
  • Measure, cut, and shape materials to create frameworks and structures
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools to measure, cut, shape assemble and join materials
  • Collaborate effectively with other team members and communicate progress and challenges as needed
  • Other general and/or finishing carpentry duties as assigned
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area at all times by following procedures and policies
  • Read and understand blueprints, designs and plans
  • Work with subcontractors, other carpenter's and project manager's to accomplish project goals
  • Perform additional duties as needed

THE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES NEEDED:

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to find solutions
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining HLD's high standards of quality and craftmanship
  • Sound knowledge of all aspects of residential construction
  • Ability to prioritize different tasks and utilize time management skills

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid G level driver's licence with clean abstract is an asset
  • Capable of standing, bending and lifting for extended periods
  • 5+ years experience in carpentry an asset
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada

Please note: This is an on-site role Monday-Friday based in Huntsville, Ontario, Muskoka region.
