Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will have 3 years' experience in commercial driving (AZ) and be comfortable operating various types of trailers, including tractor-trailers combinations of flatbeds, stepdeck and Landoll. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and timely delivery of freight.

Duties

  • Operate and drive trucks to transport goods safely to and from multiple destinations.(Noting most work is GTA, southern Ontario, but includefurther destination as in North Bay, Ottawa etc. and may require nights in the truck through out the week, with home time prioritize as we can)
  • Load and unload freight safely and efficiently (Self load and unload require at some customers)
  • Navigate routes for timely deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and regulations - Route planning and knowledge of oversize an asset.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of driving hours and vehicle inspections.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance (Basic knowledge of equipment and minor repairs an asset)
  • Equipment is manual transmission.

Experience

  • 3 years experience as an AZ Truck Driver with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL), with verifiable Flatbed experience.
  • Familiarity with operating different types of equipment such as tractor-trailers combinations of flatbeds, stepdeck, landoll trailers.
  • Knowledge of freight handling, securement procedures and safety regulations as per the National Safety Code for load security.
  • Oversize knowledge an asset.
  • Ability to operate forklifts for loading and unloading cargo is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and inspection protocols.
