Material Handler

Cannon Automotive, a division of Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping has an immediate opportunity for a Material Handler Coil Bay in our Windsor, Ontario Stamping Facility. The Material Handler Coil Bay is responsible for moving materials throughout the Coil Bay. The ideal candidate will have prior Material Handling experience, be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Summary of Responsibilities:

• Load and unload steel trucks with overhead crane or Lift truck

• Receive and tag steel/blanks when necessary and forward to appropriate location in Steel Bay

• Load and unload dies as required

• Supply Steel Bay with materials needed

• Stack and arrange product in safe, orderly manner within the warehouse

• Perform daily safety checks on forklift and maintain proper operation

• Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner

• Communicate effectively with all relevant team members to ensure seamless uninterrupted production

• Swap out scrap full scrap bins with empty as required

• Perform housekeeping duties as required

• Operates all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid driver's licence and clean driver's abstract
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment performing repetitive tasks
• Ability to find information, document relevant information, and knowledge of computers
• Ability to retain information and communicate effectively
• Proven documentation knowledge: on performing circle check of a forklift, proper loading and unloading techniques
• Ability to lift up to 23kg (50lbs)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Valid forklift and overhead crane certificates are an asset
• 1-3 years' experience in a production environment
