Diagnostic Imaging Manager

We are currently looking for a permanent

full-time Diagnostic Imaging Manager. The

successful candidate will be responsible for

coordinating, evaluating, and improving all

departmental functions to ensure the

provision of efficient, reliable, and

comprehensive cardiology, radiology and

ultrasound services. The Diagnostic Imaging

Department provides the following services:

ECG, holter, exercise stress testing,

echocardiography, ultrasound Xray and

Fluoroscopy.

In addition, the successful candidate will foster

and support a team environment to ensure the

attainment of our organizational objectives and

will act as a role model for all staff to promote

the reputation of the facility in the community.

This will be accomplished through active

employee involvement, training and

development, continuous quality improvement,

and commitment to compliance with policies,

and procedures. The candidate will also ensure

adherence to the applicable governing

legislation including, the Medical Radiation and

Imaging Technology Act, 2017 (MRIT Act),

the Regulated Health Professions Act,

1991 (RHPA), and the Healing Arts Radiation

Protection Act (HARP Act).

Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will have current CMRITO

registration, and a minimum of six years

experience as an MRT(R) or MRT(DMS).

Qualified candidates will possess excellent

communication and strong interpersonal skills.

Previous supervisory experience and

bilingualism in French and English would be an

asset.

Responsibilities:


• supervision of Diagnostic Imagning

employees as well as performing duties of

a Registered MRT as required

  • assures all procedures are completed and

reported in a timely manner and of high

quality

  • development and maintenance of policies

and procedures

  • acts as a liaison with senior leadership,

physicians, staff, public, other

departments, and supplier

representatives

  • prepares long-term and short-term goals

for the department including budgets and

staffing requirements

  • looks for opportunities for engagement

with other facilities and organizations to

collaborate on programs

  • responsible for equipment selection in

accordance with Broader Public Sector

procurement guidelines as well as

preventative maintenance

  • assesses services provided to ensure

ERHHC is meeting the needs of the

community and expectations of referring

providers

  • organize and chair staff meetings and

echo quality meetings

  • demonstrates effective supervisory skills

combined with exceptional problem

solving and change management abilities

  • maintains CQI, risk management, safety,

and infections control practices

  • ensures training and continued

competence of staff

  • Acts as ERHHC representative to

Northeast Health Service Alliance (NEHSA)

  • Acts as advisory Committee member for

College Boreal's Medical Radiation

Technology program

  • Ensures alignment of imaging activities

with the hospital strategic plan in

accordance with our mission, vision and

values

Benefits:

This position offers a competitive compensation

package including paid vacation and sick leave,

health and dental benefits, life insurance and

pension plan. Starting wage is $51.731/hr to

$58.215/hr depending on experience.
