Service Advisor

Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Fennell's RV Repair Full time $40,000 - $60,000 per year

Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers both by phone and in Fennell's RV store.

  • Provide excellent customer service in a store/service center setting

  • Listen to customers' needs attentively and accurately assist them with service parts or repair needs as necessary

  • Generate parts orders, service orders, technicians notes and schedule appointments

  • Communicate with technicians to ensure accuracy of repair needs, parts required and facilitate a timely completion of repairs

  • Provide estimates for services and obtain customer approval for repairs in progress

  • Process payments and handle cash transactions including sales, invoicing for shop repairs and maintenance

-Assist in receiving stock orders daily, pricing and stocking store as needed

  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions, including responding to emails, invoicing and note taking for technicians.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a Service Advisor or Parts Department role is preferred

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must be a social person with a willingness to greet and talk to many customers within a day.

  • Must be able to thrive in a high paced, high customer volume environment and prioritize tasks effectively

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record keepings is essential

-Applicant must have physical ability to lift and carry up to 20kg boxes( 30-50lb)

-Previous experience and ability using Microsoft office applications is an asset . Applicant must be confident and able to learn computer programs required in daily operations

  • Proficient in using computer systems and software applications for part and component look up, particularly parts resource and wholesale ordering programs (Magnafinder, ASI etc..)

-Experience processing ICBC assessments, estimates, and submissions is beneficial. not required

-Knowledge and/or experience in the RV - Recreational Vehicle industry such as repair or parts sales is preferred.

  • Knowledge of recreational vehicle terminology and components is a plus
