Little Diesel is a repair shop, servicing anything from pick up trucks to motor homes, even tractor trailers and dump trucks. Our shop is growing We are seeking Journeyman Truck and Transport Mechanics and Automotive Mechanics, who may want to pursue a second ticket, to join our team. The ideal candidate will develop with our organization and grow the skills to advance.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform service, repair, diagnostic and preventative maintenance procedures
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic failures
  • Experience with wiring/lighting components
  • Test repairs to ensure proper and safe completion

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of commercial trucks and trailers, diesel pickup trucks and anything in between
  • Exceptionally strong diagnostic and problem solving skills
  • Ability to use electronic devices for mandatory completion of paperwork, and ensure work orders are completed accurately
  • Capable of working independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a team
  • MUST maintain an exceptionally clean and tidy work environment
  • Basic hand tools and locked toolbox required
  • Valid Commercial Vehicle Inspection Certificate an asset
  • Basic welding and fabrication skills are an asset
  • Valid Class 1 or Class 3 Driver's License required

Wage dependent on experience. A benefits package to include health insurance and vacation, as well as a boot allowance, will commence upon successful completion of three month probationary period.
