Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while preparing and serving a variety of products. You will engage with customers to understand their needs, promote our offerings, and ensure a positive shopping experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for food service.

Responsibilities

  • Work with fresh meats – cutting, trimming, and preparing products for sale
  • Operate or learn to safely use meat slicers, knives and other tools
  • Serve customers in the cold deli section
  • Operate POS system and cash handling
  • Stock shelves and coolers, including lifting boxes up to 70+ lbs
  • Maintain clean and sanitary work areas in accordance with food safety standards
  • Provide friendly, efficient service and assist customers as needed

Qualifications

  • Comfortable handling raw meat and using knives and other tools safely
  • Physically capable of lifting 70+ lbs and standing for long periods
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Experience in a butcher shop, deli, or grocery environment is an asset, but training is available for the right person
  • Basic math and cash-handling skills
  • Valid Food Handler Certification

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $17.60 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
