Job Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Long Haul Driver to join our transportation team. As a Long Haul Driver, you will be responsible for transporting freight over long distances, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining the safety of the cargo. This is a physically demanding role that requires excellent driving skills and the ability to operate heavy equipment.

Responsibilities:

- Safely operate commercial vehicles, such as tractor-trailers, to transport freight to designated locations

- Plan routes and ensure efficient delivery of goods

- Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and safety standards

- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles and equipment

- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit

- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times

- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members

- Follow company policies and procedures at all times

Requirements:

- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record

- Proven experience as a long haul driver or similar role

- Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety protocols

- Ability to operate heavy equipment, such as forklifts, is preferred

- Basic automotive repair skills are a plus

- Excellent time management and organizational skills

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- Physical stamina to handle long hours on the road
