We are a Canadian leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance fire and emergency response apparatus, proudly operating out of Centreville, NB. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Lead Purchaser to join our dynamic team and take charge of all procurement activities—from sourcing critical components to managing vendor relationships. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and execute the full purchasing cycle for parts, materials, and components required for fire truck manufacturing.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, timely delivery, and competitive pricing.
  • Evaluate vendor performance, negotiate contracts, and manage cost-saving initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and inventory teams to ensure alignment of materials with production timelines.
  • Monitor inventory levels and work with warehouse staff to forecast and maintain appropriate stock levels.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Implement purchasing best practices and contribute to continuous improvement efforts across the supply chain.

Qualifications:

  • 3–5+ years of purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably automotive or heavy equipment).
  • Post-secondary education in supply chain management, business, or a related field considered an asset.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical components is a strong asset.
  • Ability to work on-site in Centreville, NB.
