Office Nurse or Clinical Assistant

We are a small group of local family physicians seeking a nursing or paramedical professional to join our team.

The role will be a 1-year contract, beginning late 2025 or early 2026, as mutually agreed to. There is the potential for further extension, subject to mutual agreement and service needs.

Starting wage will be at least $23.75/hour, or greater, depending on the successful applicant's training and experience.

As a team of professional individuals working together, we all perform both administrative and patient care tasks to:

  • diagnose and manage health concerns
  • teach and promote understanding about wellbeing, illness, and medical care
  • advise and assist patients regarding tests and treatments
  • prevent or minimize harm to patients and our community

We're looking for someone who can:

  • Work 4-5 days per week (daytime hours only, no weekends)
  • Perform nursing-related duties in the clinic including taking vitals, weights etc.
  • Call patients to relay information from physicians
  • Perform immunizations
  • Set up and clean rooms and equipment
  • Assist with other day-to-day clinic tasks as needed
  • Support other administrative staff in their roles when time allows

Qualifications:

  • Registered practical nurse (RPN) or related Paramedicine professional
  • Open to new graduates or those with experience
  • Experience working with Telus PS Suite considered an asset
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) required
