Job Description: Reporting to the Manager Integrated Renal Program, the Provincial Kidney Health Clinical Standards Educator provides leadership, coordination, and resource development for multidisciplinary clinical orientation, education, and standard development at the provincial level. This self-directed, highly skilled practitioner integrates knowledge from nursing theory and adult learning principles to support the development and implementation of safe, evidence-based clinical practices across Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) Kidney Health programs. The Educator champions the alignment of clinical practice, fosters provincial collaboration, mentors' clinical educators and staff, and acts as a change agent and resource in the adoption of provincial standards and quality care initiatives. The position supports the SHA's goals by facilitating provincial collaboration, guiding Kidney Health's strategic education planning, and promoting the application of professional standards and Primary Health Care philosophy across the province.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Master's Degree preferred).
  • Registered or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)

Experience
  • Minimum 5 years clinical nursing experience.
  • Minimum 3 years recent experience in a Clinical Nurse Educator or similar leadership/education role.
  • Experience in adult education, staff development, or patient/family teaching.
  • Demonstrated competence in project leadership, program planning, and evaluation.
  • Experience in policy development and health care quality improvement preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Advanced understanding of adult learning principles and curriculum development.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and evaluate clinical and educational performance.
  • Strong facilitation skills and ability to lead working groups, project rollout and evaluation.
  • Skilled in conflict resolution, problem solving, and systems thinking.
  • Ability to critically appraise research and incorporate best evidence into clinical standards and education.
  • Knowledge of clinical practice guidelines, infection control practices, and patient safety initiatives.
  • Competency in developing and revising policies, procedures, and clinical tools.
  • Strong document development and computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, virtual platforms).
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively across large organizations.
  • Ability to build relationships based on trust, accountability, and respect.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel provincially.
