This position requires living within 150km of Alexis, AB (Stony Plain/Edmonton area). Daily travel to customer sites means you must be local. We cannot consider applicants from Calgary, other provinces, or outside this radius.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer sites and provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Climbing ladders both indoors and outside
  • Punctual, reliable, professional
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and peripherals
  • Set up and maintain user accounts and access permissions
  • Respond to help desk tickets and provide timely resolution to IT-related issues
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as system updates and backups
  • Collaborate with team members to identify and implement IT improvements

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an IT Technician or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, operating systems, and computer hardware
  • Experience in providing IT support and desktop support
  • Proficient in software troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
  • Familiarity with macOS and Linux is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of help desk ticketing systems (e.g., Remedy) is a plus
  • Reliable
  • Able to lift 50lbs
  • Physically fit to work indoors and outdoors
  • Use of hand tools
  • Criminal record check.

Must have a reliable vehicle as travel is required.
