WHAT YOU WILL DO
The individual in this role is responsible for identifying and analyzing risk indicators at Hyundai Auto Canada Corp. for the purpose of detecting, monitoring and mitigating risk and potential crises in all of Hyundai's departments. This individual will provide to Hyundai's Executive Team comprehensive risk analysis findings and mitigation recommendations and will be responsible for tracking and monitoring the execution of risk mitigation steps at Hyundai. This individual is responsible for the development of predictive models, using internal metrics, market indicators and industry trends, to assess areas of significant future risk at the company. This role also entails the development of formal processes for the assessment, recommendation and implementation of controls designed to manage identified risks and to develop processes for future monitoring of such controls. HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT
• Identify Key Risk Indicators
Proactively investigate and analyze business practices and internal data to determine appropriate risk indicators to be monitored.
Develop systems and processes for gathering and storing data for analytics, including implementing technology solutions to assist in this regard.
Collaborate with Hyundai team members to effectively collect, contextualize, analyze and assess relevant risk indicators.
Leverage internal business and technical experts, as required.
Identify any relevant economic and financial trends that may be useful risk indicators.
Leverage analogous global and/or US business groups to confirm and augment internal indicators, data and processes.
• Assess Current Risks and Potential Crises
Aggregate and analyze risk indicators to determine areas of significant risk and/or potential crises.
Rate and prioritize such identified risks.
Assess and determine Hyundai's crisis readiness.
Prepare comprehensive reports and scorecards to document the results of such investigations, analysis and assessments.
• Risk and Crisis Mitigation
Prepare recommendations regarding strategies to manage any identified risks and potential crises at Hyundai.
Present results of risk assessment and recommended mitigation strategies to Hyundai's Executive Team.
Guide the establishment of formal controls to manage identified risks.
Develop monitoring processes for such controls.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
Required:
- Excellent data analytics, research and problem solving skills
- Advanced ability to identify and assess risk as well as to design risk mitigation strategies, with a highly developed understanding of risks particular to the automotive industry
- Proactive, decisive and project management savvy
- Policy and process development
- Professional, assertive and well organized
- Excellent communicator, with excellent presentation skill set
- Good relationship building capability
- Skillset to manage outside resources
- Advanced in the use and operation of relevant software systems, including data analytics software.
Desirable:
- Multilingual in English and Korean
- Knowledge of the French language
- Knowledge of SAP and Salesforce
OTHER DETAILS
- Completion of an undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in same or similar function.
