Hi, we're Mizunara, nice to meet you

We're a 60+ seat Japanese whisky cocktail bar that offers some lovely food to pair with the aforementioned whisky and cocktails. Our concept focuses on familial service, local ingredients, and a smooth whisky base for many of our drinks, all set in a warm and elevated atmosphere.

We're looking for a host(ess) to join us who wants to learn more about Canadian / Asian food & drink and deeply cares about making memorable experiences for our guests.

Requirements:

  • A passion for people, we're a small team and community driven
  • Outgoing, personable and professional personality
  • Strong communication skills and comfortable being the first impression for guests
  • Free to work some late nights and/or weekends

Who you are:

  • Possible newcomer to hospitality, eager to learn
  • Calm, detail-oriented in high-performance environments
  • Diligent and earnest in your work quality and efforts
  • Knowledge of Tock is a plus

Responsibilities include…

  • Greet guests as they arrive, thanking them as they leave
  • Manage reservations and seating arrangements
  • Answer phone calls and assist with any special requests or accommodations
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area
  • Work closely with front of house and back of house staff to ensure smooth service
