About The Role
Bureau Veritas is seeking a detail-oriented and dynamic
Laboratory Technician
to join our world-class team of scientific professionals. If you're passionate about delivering exceptional quality, thrive in a collaborative environment, and love solving complex challenges, this role is for you
Key Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality, defensible analytical data safely and efficiently
- Perform precise sample preparation and extraction procedures
- Follow rigorous Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Manage daily workload using LIMS summary reports
- Ensure timely sample analysis within strict holding time requirements
- Communicate effectively with supervisors about workflow and potential issues
- Maintain impeccable lab organization and cleanliness
- Support quality systems and health & safety protocols
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education or equivalent experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Adaptable to fast-paced, dynamic environments
- Comfortable with repetitive precision work
- Strong communication skills
- Commitment to safety and quality
Working Conditions
- Fast-paced laboratory environment
- Potential for flexible hours and shift work
Physical requirements include:
Standing for extended periods
- Lifting up to 40 lbs
- Handling materials using established safety procedures
