Our challenge

Our client is seeking a Storage and Platform Analyst to lead the design, development, and management of cloud data platforms supporting the organization's data strategy. This role involves deploying scalable, secure, and reliable cloud solutions using Azure and other big data tools, ensuring compliance and optimizing infrastructure for enterprise-wide data use.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the deployment, configuration, and management of cloud resources, including Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, and related services.
  • Ensure security, compliance, and cost management of cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with data architects and engineers to optimize cloud architecture and support data product delivery.
  • Automate routine tasks and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Terraform, PowerShell, and Ansible.
  • Maintain and improve system performance, availability, and scalability.
  • Document configurations, operational procedures, data governance policies, and security strategies.
  • Contribute to the design of modern data platform features to support data delivery and analytics.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource optimization within the cloud environment.

Skills:

  • Proven experience with Azure cloud platform administration and architecture design, with a focus on security and cost optimization.
  • Strong knowledge of automation tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, PowerShell, and Ansible.
  • Extensive experience managing cloud data services including Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Machine Learning.
  • Skilled in scripting and automation to streamline operations and pipelines.
  • Experience implementing security controls, identity management, and compliance measures in cloud environments.
  • Capable of managing short-term projects with clear milestones and delivering results.
  • Cloud certifications (Azure, AWS, GCP) are preferred but not mandatory.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively in a complex environment.
