Dog Daycare Attendant

Confident Canines is a busy, structured dog daycare that focuses on safety, routine, and high-quality care. We are looking for a reliable, mature, and hard-working team member who enjoys a fast-paced environment, physical activity, and working directly with dogs.

What this role involves

• Supervising groups of dogs in the yard and inside the facility.
• Monitoring behaviour and ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
• Cleaning up messes immediately, including urine, feces, and vomit.
• Leading dogs in and out of the building safely and efficiently.
• Feeding dogs one at a time during lunch rotations.
• Light cleaning duties such as mopping, sweeping, washing bowls, and replenishing supplies.
• Communicating clearly and respectfully with the team.
• Staying focused and maintaining awareness of dog behaviour at all times.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to lift 40 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Reliable transportation.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather.
• Experience with dogs is an asset, but training is provided.
• Must be comfortable cleaning up any mess immediately.
• Must be comfortable working on a team and following established procedures.

Shifts

Part-time hours between Monday and Friday. Shifts vary but typically include mornings and afternoons. Additional shifts may be available as needed.
