Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a
Design & Project Operations Manager
. This unique role blends creative design, project management, and procurement responsibilities to ensure the successful delivery of custom residential homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for design, excellent organizational skills, and a strategic mindset for sourcing and budgeting.

Key Responsibilities:
Design & Client Experience

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, preferences, and lifestyle needs.
  • Develop interior and exterior design concepts, including material selections, finishes, and color palettes.
  • Create mood boards, design presentations, and product specifications.
  • Coordinate with architects and engineers to ensure design intent is maintained throughout construction.

Project Management

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of custom home projects from pre-construction through completion.
  • Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure milestones are met.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with design and construction standards.
  • Resolve issues proactively and maintain clear communication with all stakeholders.

Procurement & Vendor Coordination

  • Source and purchase materials, fixtures, and furnishings in alignment with design and budget.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers and vendors.
  • Track orders, deliveries, and inventory to ensure timely availability of materials.
  • Maintain organized records of purchases, invoices, and warranties.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in residential design, project management, or procurement.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and residential building codes.
  • Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit) and project management tools.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with luxury or high-end custom homes.
  • Familiarity with sustainable building practices and materials.
  • Strong vendor network and sourcing capabilities.
