Liquidity Risk Analyst

Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Liquidity Risk Analyst (FRM / CFA) – VBA, Python, SQL who will support the risk appetite of the bank by ensuring accurate and timely liquidity risk measurement, reporting, and analysis. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality risk outputs, supporting regulatory compliance, and driving continuous process improvements. This role requires strong knowledge of regulatory liquidity metrics, programming skills to enhance reporting infrastructure, and the ability to collaborate closely with multiple business partners to support the organization's liquidity risk objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Measure and report on key liquidity and market risk metrics including LCR, NCCF, NSFR, and stress scenarios.
- Ensure analysis and reporting are complete, accurate, and supported with thorough commentary.
- Provide guidance and monitor day-to-day operations to support the bank's liquidity risk appetite.
- Effectively challenge and propose improvements to enhance efficiency and business support.
- Understand system and model changes and assess their impact on risk and valuation processes.
- Establish robust review processes to ensure quality and accuracy of risk and P&L valuation outputs.
- Escalate issues in a timely and effective manner, in line with risk governance standards.
- Support innovative initiatives and contribute to the evolution of analytical and attribution capabilities.
- Develop a strong understanding of pricing and risk management principles for financial derivatives.
- Partner with business stakeholders to support change, testing, and implementation of initiatives.
- Contribute to team leadership through cross-training, coaching, and acting as a subject matter expert.
- Participate in recruitment and help identify high-caliber candidates for the team.
Desired Skill Set:
- Strong experience with liquidity risk metrics and reporting (LCR, NCCF, NSFR).
- Solid understanding of regulatory and compliance environments.
- Knowledge of financial instruments, regulations, and market risk metrics.
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications.
- Programming skills in VBA, Python, SQL, and Alteryx to develop and improve risk infrastructure.
- 3+ years of experience in business analysis and compliance/regulatory functions.
Nice to Have:
- Master's degree.
- CFA or FRM designation (in progress or completed).
- Experience with risk, valuations, and reporting systems.
- Business degree or equivalent professional designation.
