Position Summary

Miku River Rock is seeking an experienced and service-driven FOH Manager to lead our front-of-house team. The ideal candidate is an energetic leader who is passionate about hospitality, committed to creating exceptional guest experiences, and skilled at managing high-performing teams in a fast-paced, upscale environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, track, and achieve monthly financial targets
  • Hire, onboard, train, and support FOH staff
  • Evaluate staff performance and provide ongoing coaching and feedback
  • Oversee daily scheduling and supervise FOH team members to ensure smooth operations
  • Coordinate in-store marketing and promote Miku within the local community
  • Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, and guest service
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, sanitation, and operational regulations
  • Lead by example with a proactive, "hands-on" management approach
  • Uphold and elevate the guest dining experience
  • Monitor and maintain budget targets and cost controls

  • Manage and resolve guest complaints professionally and effectively

  • Address team conflicts and support a positive working environment

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of management experience in an upscale, fast-paced restaurant
  • Strong passion for hospitality and a commitment to delivering exceptional service
  • Proven leadership abilities with a positive, motivating attitude
  • Strong understanding of restaurant controls and financial statements
  • Demonstrated experience in training, developing, and mentoring teams
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Commitment to continuous learning and growth within management systems
  • Proficiency with POS systems
  • Strong computer literacy
  • Knowledge of online reservation platforms (e.g., OpenTable)
  • Wine or sake accreditation is considered an asset
  • Japanese restaurant experience or language skills are a bonus
  • Valid Serving It Right certification and thorough knowledge of liquor laws
  • Valid Food Safe certification and strong understanding of food safety regulations
