Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada FUTURi Power Full time $120,000 - $180,000 per year

Chief of Staff / Head of Strategy & Operations

FUTURi Power – Vancouver, BC

Why Futuri?

The clean energy transition is happening now. However, electricity only accounts for 18% of all energy joules used in BC. Homes and businesses are rapidly switching to electric vehicles and heat pumps, but a massive problem exists: our electrical infrastructure still needs to be enhanced for the future.

The grid is straining, home electrical services are maxing out, and this bottleneck threatens to slow our transition from fossil fuels.

That's where Futuri Power comes in. We've developed the
Energy Processor

  • a breakthrough in power electronics that makes electrification possible at scale. Think of it as a computer for electricity that allows you to plug in and command different electrical nodes (i.e. solar panels, battery storage, and 2-way EV chargers) like USB devices.

What We Need

Our team of elite technologists needs a business partner who can turn our breakthrough technology into market success. If you light up at both financial models and power systems, this is your moment. You'll drive our growth by connecting with key players across the energy transition - from developers reimagining housing to utilities transforming the grid.

Your mission:

scale our technology while building a sustainable business that accelerates electrification.

What You'll Own

  • Funding & Finance:

Build our financial systems from the ground up - from bookkeeping and budgets to investor reporting and grant management.
- Corporate Operations:

Lead legal, compliance, and admin operations. Structure contracts, maintain corporate records, and handle audit requirements.
- Government Relations:

Manage relationships with funding agencies and grant programs. Own reporting requirements and milestone tracking.
- Cash Management:

Track spending, optimize runway, and build financial models for growth scenarios.
- HR Infrastructure:

Design compensation structures, benefits programs, and hiring processes as we scale.
- Board Management:

Lead board meeting preparation, stakeholder updates, and governance processes.

Who You Are

We're open-minded to different mixes of education and lived experiences. Many candidates will look like this:

  • MBA or equivalent business experience with strong financial acumen
  • 5+ years leading operations, strategy, or finance in fast-growing companies
  • Experience with:
  • Government funding programs and grant writing
  • Corporate governance and board management
  • Financial modelling and budget oversight
  • Contract negotiation and stakeholder management
  • Might want to be a founder or CEO someday

Emerging Leader Option:

If you're earlier in your career but show exceptional drive, systems thinking, and leadership potential, we want to hear from you too. You'll start as a
Strategy & Operations Associate

, working directly with the CEO and technical team, with a clear growth path toward Chief of Staff.

Bonus Points

  • Startup or scale-up experience
  • Knowledge of cleantech, energy, or construction industries
  • Experience managing government/academic funding partnerships
  • Understanding of electrical systems and infrastructure (not required)

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary and equity

  • you'll have a real stake in what we build.

  • High-impact role

  • design the financial and operational backbone of a climate tech company from the ground up.

  • Direct access

  • work side by side with technical founders, industry veterans, and research leaders driving real electrification change.
