Position Overview

We're seeking IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic technology team in Aurora.

This is a hands-on role where you'll be the go-to expert for end-user support, network troubleshooting, system maintenance, and technology optimization. You'll ensure that our IT infrastructure runs smoothly and securely, empowering our employees to focus on what they do best — building the future of communications technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to local and remote users (hardware, software, and network troubleshooting).
• Install, configure, and maintain workstations, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
• Manage user accounts, access controls, and security permissions within Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
• Support and monitor internal networks, including LAN/WAN, VPN, and Wi-Fi connectivity.
• Maintain and update IT asset inventory and documentation.
• Troubleshoot issues related to Windows OS, Office 365, and various enterprise applications.
• Collaborate with vendors to support IT hardware, software, and telecommunications systems.
• Assist with cybersecurity initiatives, including patch management and endpoint protection.
• Support IT infrastructure projects — such as system upgrades, migrations, and rollouts.
• Provide exceptional service to employees by resolving issues efficiently and communicating clearly.

Qualifications

• College diploma or university degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in an IT Support / Help Desk / Systems Administration role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Office 365, Active Directory, and basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
• Experience with hardware diagnostics, imaging, and device management tools.
• Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and data protection principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive, service-oriented mindset.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Microsoft Intune, Azure AD, or cloud-based infrastructure.
• Knowledge of Linux, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), or backup solutions.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes or ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, Freshservice, ServiceNow).
