Our client in the managed IT services sector is seeking a fulltime/permanent IT Technician to help support their clients.

Location: Kitchener (on site)

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor client IT systems and respond to alerts.
  • Troubleshoot network, server, and hardware issues.
  • Perform system backups, patching, and maintenance.
  • Provide Tier 1–2 technical support (remote and onsite).
  • Log issues and manage tickets in ConnectWise PSA (or equivalent).
  • Support and maintain Networking (Firewalls, Routers, Switches, Access Points)
  • Support Windows Servers (Active Directory, Exchange, Hyper-V), Linux/UNIX systems and Proxmox clusters
  • Manager Server and SAN hardware in data centers
  • Collaborate with senior technicians to resolve escalations.
  • Follow change management and security procedures.

Requirements:

  • 1–2 years of IT support, systems, or network experience.
  • Proficiency with
    Active Directory, Hyper-V, Proxmox, and Mikrotik Routers
    .
  • Knowledge of
    firewalls, VPNs, and routing concepts
    .
  • Assets: Azure, Microsoft 365, AWS, 3CX PBX, Citrix, FreeNAS, or Linux/BSD.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organization skills.
  • Valid G driver's license and reliable vehicle.
