Pax Law Corporation is seeking an experienced family law paralegal to join our team in North Vancouver, BC.

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Paralegal to join our Family Law practice group, with a minimum commitment of two years.

Pax Law is a Full-Service North Vancouver Law Firm. Pax is a client-centered, top-rated, and effective North Vancouver law firm. We are committed to providing high-quality legal services to support our clients in the most efficient manner possible.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in family law (preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate).
  • Ability to work with other attorneys and staff.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Must be able to multitask and manage time effectively.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be comfortable working with clients of all ages.
  • Strong critical and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while also supporting a collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist lawyers in preparing and filing family law documents, including affidavits, pleadings, and applications.
  • Manage client communications with professionalism and sensitivity.
  • Conduct legal research and maintain case files.
  • Draft correspondence and prepare disclosure materials.
  • Coordinate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel to ensure timely case management.

Strong Assets:

Knowledge of Civil Litigation: Proficiency in civil litigation is a valuable asset that will set you apart in this role. Your understanding of residential tenancy act, the law of torts and processes will greatly contribute to our firm's comprehensive legal services.

Knowledge of Family Law: Proficiency in family law is a valuable asset that will set you apart in this role. Your understanding of federal and provincial family law and processes will greatly contribute to our firm's comprehensive legal services.

Salary range: $ 60,000 - $70,000 annually, depending on experience.
