TO Live is currently seeking Front Door Person to join us for our diverse lineup of shows and other activities at our downtown locations of Meridian Hall and the St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts.

These are seasonal part-time positions for outgoing customer service oriented team players that thrive in a fast paced, diverse theatre environment.

These positions work a varied schedule including weekdays, weekday evenings and weekends. Candidates must have a flexible schedule and be available to work any of the above. Weekday matinee shifts are mandatory. This is a unionized position; successful candidates will be required to join IATSE Local B-173.

ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate with Patron Services Manager/Director regarding any load ins, deliveries or early arrivals (i.e. meet and greets, sponsors, media).
• Organize and maintain reserved parking spaces, coordinate with Wheel Trans upon arrival. Stay until end of show to coordinate with Wheel Trans upon audience departure.
• Greet and escort patrons with mobility issues to front doors and/or the Head Ticket Taker(s)
• Attend to patron complaints when appropriate, escalate to Patron Services Manager/Director when needed.
• Be present at front doors during all load in or outs, ensure all front of house spaces are clear before closing.
• Assist with other Front of House duties when needed.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

• Maintain high level of customer service, interpersonal, oral and written communication at all times. Skill expectations include:
• Displays fair and consistent behavior.
• Able to make difficult and quick decision under stress, pressure or emergency situations, taking full responsibility for actions at all times.
• Displays consistent and strong people skills, including teamwork, effective communication (written and oral), respect for themselves and those around them.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Flexibility in hours includes occasional work on days, nights and weekends as required.
• Ability to stand and walk freely and quickly.
• Travel between TO Live venues as required.
• Adhere to the TO Live Health and Safety Policies and protocols.

TO Live is one of Canada's largest multi-arts organizations, operating three iconic venues: Meridian Hall, the St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts and Meridian Arts Centre. In addition, TO Live presents a full range of performing arts, theatrical and concert events at these venues in both downtown and uptown Toronto.
