About Us

We are a diversified family office with operations spanning across manufacturing, real estate development, construction, and capital lending. Our group of companies operates primarily in British Columbia, Alberta, Washington, Oregon, and California, and collectively employs over 600 team members in both unionized and non-unionized environments. With a strong entrepreneurial culture and a focus on long-term value creation, we are seeking a highly self motivated Systems Support Administrator with a successful track record and willingness to learn to join our IT team.

We offer an opportunity for career development, meaningful work, and an excellent team culture; this is a tremendous opportunity for a high performing IT professional to join a respected and thriving organization.

Position Overview

The Systems Support Administrator plays a hybrid role, dividing time equally between system administration tasks and direct end-user support. This position helps manage and maintain IT systems such as Active Directory, Microsoft 365, servers, and networks, while also providing frontline and escalation support to employees in the office and field. By bridging system-level responsibilities with hands-on support, this role ensures both the stability of IT infrastructure and a responsive user experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide first and second-level technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Administer user accounts, permissions, and access rights within company systems (Active Directory, Office 365, ERP, etc.).
  • Monitor and maintain system performance, backups, and security compliance.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, escalating to vendors or higher-level support as necessary.
  • Install, configure, and update software applications and operating systems.
  • Assist in maintaining servers, cloud systems, and network infrastructure.
  • Maintain accurate IT documentation, including system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Support system integrations, upgrades, and patches.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership on cybersecurity practices, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Participate in IT projects to improve system efficiency and user experience.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2–4 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or similar role.
  • Working knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365.
  • Experience with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical proficiency and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with non-technical users.
  • Analytical mindset and proactive problem solver.
  • Adaptability and eagerness to learn new technologies.
  • Team-oriented with a service-first approach.
