About the Role

At Vidyard, we believe our people are our greatest strength. We're looking for a Senior HR Business Partner to report to our Director, People, who is passionate about helping Vidyardians thrive in their work and careers. This role will partner closely with leaders and teams to drive performance management, provide coaching, nurture engagement, and ensure we continue to grow in alignment with Canadian and US employment standards.

What You'll Do
  • Performance & Growth: Lead performance management cycles including calibration (goal-setting, feedback, mid-year and year-end reviews) to ensure clarity, alignment, and continuous development.
  • Coaching Leaders: Partner with managers and senior leaders, offering coaching and guidance to strengthen leadership capabilities and team effectiveness.
  • Employee Experience: Act as a trusted advisor on employee relations, supporting fair, empathetic, and consistent practices that foster a strong culture of engagement and belonging.
  • Compliance: Ensure all programs and practices align with Canadian/US employment legislation, balancing compliance with a supportive, people-first approach.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside the broader People team to drive initiatives that support growth, inclusion, and engagement across Vidyard.
  • AI Fluency in People Practices: Ability to identify and integrate AI/automation into HR workflows (e.g., onboarding, engagement surveys, analytics, performance reviews) to streamline operations while enhancing employee experience.
What You Bring
  • 5+ years of progressive HR/People & Culture experience in a business partner capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian and US employment standards and HR compliance practices.
  • Experience with coaching leaders and resolving employee relations matters with fairness and empathy. 
  • Proven ability to guide performance management processes and design engagement initiatives.
  • Experience leading organizational wide initiatives, change management and proactively contributing to strategic direction. 
  • Experience driving adoption of new technologies, including AI tools, across teams, helping leaders and employees embrace change with confidence and ethical awareness.
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Leadership Coaching certification preferable but not required.
