About the Role
The Client Implementation Specialist works in coordination with the Implementation Specialist or Project Manager to ensure a successful client implementation. The Client Implementation Specialist is responsible for the technical aspects of small-scale projects, including configuration, analyzing business requirements, assessing current product features, identifying areas requiring customization and coordinating with development and other teams that support implementations on the Mid-Markets team. Additionally, the Client Implementation Specialist will create Client Development JIRA stories and participate in triage activities to identify issues, root cause analysis, and recommend corrective measures for resolution.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
- Advise, design and implement best practices to ensure the solution satisfies client requirements related to overall solution functionality, application architecture, security, and third-party solution integrations.
- Actively listen to the client to understand their small to medium complex business requirements for multiple client implementations.
- Act as a contributing member of the project team from project inception to completion.
- Conduct QA on custom implementations, and be able to perform initial troubleshooting and research on bugs.
- Support the client during user acceptance testing, through launch and post-implementation stabilization. Participate in triage activities to identify root cause and recommend corrective measures to resolve issues.
- Support Project Managers in managing project success; identify & escalate issues, and provide timely project progress updates.
- Work with development & dev-ops teams to influence, design, and validate solutions.
- Keep current on technical skills and product knowledge.
- Assist on special projects as assigned, including on-going ownership of stretch assignments.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not have any supervisory responsibility or direct reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor/Associate degree or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of implementing web-based solutions for clients.
- API (REST, SOAP), SSO, Token authentication, SQL (ORACLE preferred).
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Java and JSON are essential skills.
- Experience with Jira and a basic understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Ability to perform QA on custom solutions prior to client delivery.
- Experience with documentation and documenting custom solutions is preferred.
- Good problem-solving skills. Must be able to analyze information to make independent decisions quickly and effectively.
- Client-focused, with client-facing experience and strong attention to detail.
- Results driven; take ownership of issue resolution.
- Good written and verbal communication skills; capable of interfacing effectively with management, peers, and clients.
- Background in the Payments, Banking, E-Commerce, Finance and/or Utility industries helpful but not required.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers and smartphones.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee may be required to life up to 25 lbs
Position Type/Excepted Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday during normal business hours. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
5-10% travel to customer sites may be required based upon project needs.
