Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to operate various types of vehicles and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate trucks and other vehicles to transport freight to designated locations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
  • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and cargo information as required by regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while on the road and at loading/unloading sites.
  • Operate forklifts and heavy equipment as needed for loading and unloading tasks.
  • Perform basic automotive repairs when necessary to ensure vehicle reliability.

Experience

  • Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
  • Familiarity with freight handling procedures and regulations.
  • Experience operating heavy equipment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic automotive repair is a plus.
