We're looking for a reliable and friendly individual to join our team as a Receptionist/Optical Assistant.

Job Overview

This dual role is perfect for someone who enjoys both administrative tasks and working directly with patients. You'll manage front desk responsibilities and assist with frame selection, eyewear fittings, and optical sales.

Responsibilities
Reception Duties
  • Greet and check in patients in a professional and friendly manner
  • Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the daily schedule
  • Process insurance claims and patient payments
  • Maintain accurate patient records and uphold confidentiality
  • Send appointment confirmations and follow-up messages
  • Perform general administrative tasks (filing, scanning, data entry)
Optical Assistant Duties
  • Help patients select frames and lenses based on their needs and preferences
  • Take frame and facial measurements for proper fit
  • Educate patients about lens options, coatings, and current promotions
  • Submit, track, and receive eyewear orders
  • Perform minor frame adjustments and repairs
  • Keep the optical dispensary organized, clean, and well-stocked
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Prior experience in a medical or optical office is an asset, but not required
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Comfortable using office software and scheduling systems
  • Detail-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to learn and grow with the team
  • Friendly, professional demeanor with a team-player attitude
